Mmmmm…..this is the time of year when citrus fruit is abundant! Now is our opportunity to take in the design of nature!
When we eat seasonally we reap the benefits of what Nature has provided us, healing and optimal health!
Now what in the world could citrus offer our bodies? What body part does this abundant fruit offer healing and nourishment for? Well, grapefruits, oranges, and other citrus fruits look just like female mammary glands and actually assist with the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts. The similarity between round citrus fruits, like lemons and grapefruit, and breasts may be more than coincidental.
Grapefruit contains substances called limonoids, which are antioxidants that have shown to inhibit the development of cancer in lab animals and in human breast cells. This is the major constituent in citrus fruits, specifically limonene.
Oranges are a rich sources of Vitamin C and also contain limonoids. Studies show that oranges support the reduction in risk of breast cancer. Citrus flavonoids (antioxidants) are effective inhibitors of human breast cancer cell proliferation.
Lemons are another rich source of Vitamin C and even can quadruple the antioxidant power of that green tea you are sipping on! Like everything that Nature provides us, there are multiple function of one food. Check out my blog about ways you can food combine to power up the nutrients in every meal. Lemons can also be added to water and consumed every morning to flush your entire lymphatic system and give your liver a great power up!
Even edible citrus oils (always look for the CPTG – certified pure therapeutic grade) can be used to support breast health. Simply add a few drops to water and drink it down. Also, massaging the essential oils mixed in coconut oil, directly onto the breasts is a great way to clear the lymphatic tissue and provide extra antioxidant protection power. If you would like to know what CPTG oils I use please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Limonene is an excellent:

- anti bacterial

- has anti diabetic effects
- dissolves gall and kidney stones
- activates phase 2 liver detoxification which neutralizes cancer cells & toxins
- reduces tumor growth
- and is a potent agent in cholesterol support
