Mushrooms when sliced in half resemble the shape of the human ear.
Mushrooms improve hearing abilities, since they contain vitamin D, which is healthy for bones, especially the 3 tiny bones in the ear that transmit sound to the brain, the malleus, incus, and stapes (otherwise known as ossicles).
Mushrooms also provide a wonderful antibiotic for the body that is safe. Bacteria will not grow resistant to the mushrooms ability to ward off unfriendly bacteria.
They provide nutrients that supports improvement in hearing, stimulates the function of the immune system, and inhibits tumor growth.
Mushrooms are loaded with essential sugars. Essential sugars are important tools for the immune system and combine with amino acids and fat acids to form antenna on the cell walls. These antenna are important for communication to happen between cells. This let’s everywhere in the body know what’s going on and what’s needed for optimal functioning.
Here’s a SUPER Mushroom soup to support your IMMUNE system and HEARING!
Mushroom Almandine Soup
2 cups filtered water
1 cup almonds soaked overnight
3 1/4 cups crimini or shitake mushrooms (save ¼ cup for garnish)
2 green onions (save one for garnish)
1 tbls olive oil
Celtic salt to taste
- Blend ingredients in Vitamix until smooth and slightly warm.
- Garnish with chopped mushrooms and minced green onion.
- For thicker soup, add ground flax. Blend garnish in and use as a gravy or sauce.
- Will last refrigerated for about 5 days.
Mushrooms are a wonderfully supportive food for our health and optimal functioning. Enjoy some in your salad, in a soup, in a raw vegan quiche, etc.
